The WMCA was founded in August 2000. We are a local faith-based organisation that provides a range of activities for all members of the Winchester community.

About the Community

The Muslim community in Winchester is made up of diverse backgrounds including Arab, African, South Asian and many different ethnicities and cultural heritage.

The Muslim community is relatively young in demographics and is engaged in a variety of occupations including the public sector, professional services and hospitality amongst others.

The Muslim population in Winchester is growing and with this growth, there is more demand for the services it provides and a need for a venue from which to consolidate its’ activities.
